A Note from Brother Paul,

We are changing the GSOP Presidential Forum into an action that will jumpstart the conversation about our issues! We will not allow the candidates to fly over our forum and ignore the real issues that impact our lives.

So, we will take the issues important to us and our stories of how these issues impact our lives directly to the candidates. I know that this is not what you might have expected or hoped for.

But, this is real life. This is a challenge and opportunity for us to seize this moment and use it to build our organization and our communities. We will not walk quietly away. We will create and support a greater discussion on the issues that touch our lives and politicians will listen.

The support of groups from all over our region who still want to be part of the action has inspired us to re-invent it and carry on. On Saturday, Mike Gravel will join us to speak to our communities and our issues.

I am looking forward to Saturday and the opportunity to make the election about creating solutions for our common issues and not about candidates.
